1. Census in 1900 in Mount Carmel Twp., Northumberland, PA. ² Renting a home on E. Mt. Carmel Ave. was Henry Youst, coal miner, 42, born Jul 1857, was married for 19 years to wife Johanna, 34, Jan 1866. She had birthed 7 children, 3 still alive in 1900. Two were living with them: Joseph, day laborer, 14, Apr 1886; and Isaac, day laborer, 13, May 1887. Everyone and their parents were born in Pennsylvania, except Henry's parents were from Germany.

2. Census in 1910 in Mount Carmel, Northumberland, PA. ¹ Renting at 43 Walnut St. was Henry Youst, laborer, age 56, who was married for 30 years to his wife, Anna, 45. She had birthed 8 children by 1910 and 4 were still alive. With them: sons Issac, 21; and Roy, 8. Also: Matilda Kendreck, 78?, widowed mother-in-law. Everyone and their parents were born in Pennsylvania.

3. Cause of Death: accidentally killed on Lehigh R. R., 4 Apr 1912, Shenandoah, Schuylkill, PA. ³
