Household 22 was James Siegfried, laborer, 22, with wife Emaline [nee Smith], 24; and daughter Maria, 2. They are in James' father's home: Israel Siegfried, 53, and his wife Maria, 53. Israel's farm is worth $2500 and personal estate $800.

Household 23 is David Smith, laborer, 28, with wife Caroline, 17. He has no land value and personal estate was $500.

Household 25 is Peter Smith, farm laborer, 52, with wife Catharine, 48; and son James, laborer, 27. Peter's land value is $600 and personal estate $100.

Household 26 is Matilda Smith, 45, widow, with son William, laborer, 19; Mary, 13; Lewis, 7; and Elizabeth, 5. Her land value is $1200 and personal estate $200.

Next door is William's son, Alfred, farmer, 30, with wife Maria, 19, son Morris, 9 months old born in Aug 1879, and his brother, Thomas, farm hand, 27.

On the same census page is Joseph Smith, 11, a servant in the home of Lewis Riegle, 35, and his wife, Sylletta, 30, who is William Smith's daughter, with her children Edward, 13; Arabella, 4; and daughter Neide M., 1.

Their neighbor is farmer Henry Smith, 50, widowed, living with his niece, Mary Smith, 22; and three servants.
