Mrs. Beecher was a member of St. James Episcopal Church and was raised in the church orphanage after the death of her father. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Florence B. Harsh, Ephrata; Thelma M., wife of Harold Killian, York; Dorothy E., wife of Robert Riley Jr., Sacramento, Calif. Mary E., wife of Eugene Minnich, Columbia; a son, William J. Beecher, Lancaster; a sister, Mrs. Mary Charles, Lexington, Pa.; 13 grandchildren and 17 greatgrandchildren.
