Marriage -- A quiet wedding took place in First M. E. church when Miss Helen Whitman Beecher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William A. Beecher, 58 West Main street, South Pottstown, was united in marriage to William Andrew Dillman, son of Mr. and Mrs. William H. S. Dillman, 782 Beech street. The cetemony was performed by the Rev. George F. Conner, pastor. Following the wedding ceremony, a reception took place at the Dillman residence. The new Mrs. Dillman formerly was employed at the Feroe Box factory. Mr. Dillman, well known athlete, was one of the original members of the Midget Five, Pottstown basketball team.

Census in 1940 in Pottstown, Montgomery, PA. ⁶ The 1940 census recorded renting at 357 Chestnut St. in the home owned by Annie Roshaw: William Dillamn, lathe hand in stell fabricating co., 33, living with wife Helen, 29; son William L., 10; Joan, 6; and Judith, 3 months old. They were all born in Pennsylvania.
They lived in the same house in 1935.

Born in Pottstown, he was a son of the late William H. S. and Edith (Delecker) Dillman.
Mr. Dillman was a shop foreman at Bethlehem Steel Corp., Pottstown, for 36 years before retiring in 1969.
He was a member of First Methodist Church.
Surviving with his widow are a son. William L. Dillman. 2160 Needhammer Road, Upper Pottsgrove: a daughter, Joan, wife of Kenneth Landis, 1302 Queen St.; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Dorang. 1110 Belleview Ave.; Mrs. Marian Collins, 190 E. Main St., South Pottstown. and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday from Schumacher and Reber Funeral Home. 359 King St., with the Rev. Lewis C. Learning, pastor of First Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Edgewood Cemetery. A viewing will be 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
