2. Census in 1880 in Emmett Twp., Pottawatomie, KS. ¹ Thomas De Vine, 37, farmer, was living with wife Martha, 41; Mary, 14; John, 13; Thomas, 11; Elizabeth, 9; Catherine, 4; and Martha, 4 months when the census was recorded in June, 1880. The parents and their parents were born in Ireland. All children were born in Michigan, except Catherine and Martha in Kansas.

Living as nearby neighbors on the previous page is Patrick De Vine, farmer, 43, with wife Mary, 32; Mary H. 14; and Thomas, 2. Thomas , his parents and Mary's parents were born in Ireland. Mary was born in Wisconsin. The children were born in Kansas.
