Duffy, and Mr. William Lackland Beecher, of St. Louis. Mo., were married at noon yesterday at the residence of the bride's parents, 1915 Guilford avenue, by the Rev. John E. Graham, of St. Ann's Catholic Church. Miss Claire Farran and Mr. William Marshall Murphy were the attendants. Miss Agatha Moore, accompanied by Prof. Ferdinand Linhard, rendered the wedding music. A lunch was served, after which Mr. and Mrs. Beecher left for Atlantic City, from which place they will go to visit the bridegroom's mother in St. Louis. The bride wore a dress of French tulle with hat to match, and the going-away dress was of dark-blue silk poplin. After September 15 Mr. and Mrs. Beecher will be "at home" at the Martha-Lewis Apartment, North avenue and Calvert street.

Funeral services for William Lockland Beecher, insurance man who was found dead in bed yesterday morning when his wife called him to put gifts on a Christmas tree, are to be held tomorrow afternoon. The services will be at the Beecher home on Bristol road, Stoneleigh, and will be directed by the Rev. Dr. Wesley It. Adams, rector of the Chapel of the Nativity. Surviving Mr. Beecher are his widow, Mrs. Edwina P. Beecher; a daughter, Jane Margaret Beecher, his mother, Mrs. Margaret Beecher and a brother and sister.

William Lockland Beecher died suddenly yesterday at his home, 7001 Bristol road, Stoneleigh. Mr. Beecher was special agent of the Hartford Fire Insurance Company for Maryland, the District of Columbia and Southern Pennsylvania. Mr. Beecher had spent twenty-nine years in the service of the Hartford company, for fifteen years representing It in Baltimore. In his youth he was in the newspaper business, having served for a time as local editor of the Journal, Washington, Franklin county, Mo., in which county he was born and reared. Mr. Beecher was a member of the Racquet Club, of Washington, and the Smoke and Cinder Club, of Pittsburgh. He also was a member of the Underwriters Association. Surviving him are his widow, who formerly was Miss Edwina P. Duffy, and one daughter, Jane Margaret Beecher. His mother, Mrs. Margaret Beecher; a brother, Edward Beecher, and a sister, Mrs. Maurice Perrott, also survive.

Robert Miles Stahl, pastor of St. Stephen's Reformed Lutheran Church, conducted the services. Burial was in Parkwood Cemetery. The pallbearers represented local and foreign insurance concerns. Among those who served were Charles F. Kremer, Hartford, Conn., and Frederick W. Trency and Paul Turner, Jr., both of Philadelphia. Mr. Beecher was special agent here of the Hartford Fire Insurance Company. He was found dead in bed Christmas morning.

William Lockland Beecher, formerly of Washington, Franklin county, Mo., died suddenly the latter part of December at his home in Baltimore, Md. Mr. Beecher was special agent fo the Hartford Fire Insurance Co., for Maryland, the District of Columbia and Southern Pennsylvania.
In his youth, Mr. Beecher was int he newspaper business, having for a time served as local editor of the Journal, Washington, Franklin county, Mo., in which county he was born and reared. The last 29 years he spent in the service of the Hartford Co., for 15 years representing it in Baltimore.
Surviving Mr. Beecher are his widow, who formerly was Miss Edwina P. Duffy, and one daughter, Jan Margaret Beecher. His mother, Mrs. Margaret Beecher, a brother, Edward Beecher and sister, Mrs. Maurice Perrett, also survive.


William married Edwina P. Duffy, daughter of Edward Paul Duffy and Mary J. Cadman, on 12 Aug 1914 in Baltimore, Baltimore, MD.1 (Edwina P. Duffy was born on 5 Apr 1888 in Baltimore, Baltimore, MD 4 22 23 and died in 1974 in Aldershot, , HAM, ENG 23.)
