Pottstown, May 20.

The death this evening of Lindley R. Beecher, at Stone Harbor, N. J., as the result of a gunning accident there yesterday afternoon, has cast a gloom over this community.

Young Beecher was the junior member of the firm of Beecher & Son, one of the oldest and largest dry goods houses in the Schuylkill Valley. He belonged to the Athletic Club of the Schuylkill Navy, the Quaker City Wheelmen, Pottstown Tennis Club and the Ideal Athletic Club, of Pottstown.

SEA ISLE CITY, N. J., May 20. -- Lindley R. Beecher, the young Pottstown gunner, who accidentally shot himself yesterday, while gunning on the meadows near Stone Harbor, died this afternoon.
