Mrs. Rebecca Coleman, relict of the late Nicholas Coleman, and daughter of Peter Nagle, Esq. long deceased, died of old age at the residence of her son, William N. Coleman, No. 111 South Fifth street, on Tuesday, in her 88th year. Deceased was confined to her room for the past six years. She was a life-long resident of Reading, and had a wide circle of acquaintances.

Newspaper: Reading Times: Funeral of the Late Rebecca Coleman, 6 Sep 1880, Reading, Berks, PA. 7 The funeral of Mrs. Rebecca Coleman, widow of the late Nicholas Coleman, took place on Saturday afternoon from the residence of her son, W. N. Coleman, No. 111 South Fifth street. Services were held at the house by Rev. C. F. McCauley, pastor of the Second Reformed Church. the remains were neatly dressed in a black shroud, and lay in a handsome burial casket, silver mounted. Several beautiful floral offerings were displayed. The pall-bearers were: Robert Caldwell, John Ermentrout, David Reifsnyder and Sampson Grove. The interment was made at the Charles Evans cemetery; Charles Henninger & Son, undertakers.
