CENTERVILLE, Tenn. Services for Mrs. Matte McClanahan Bond, 75, will be at 1 p.m. today at McDonald Funeral Home here. Burial will be in Oakmont Cemetery near Centerville.

Mrs. Bond died Saturday after a long illness. A native of Hickman County, she was a daughter of David and Mary McClanahan. She was the widow of S.A. Bond. She was the mother of Jack Bond, Nashville, former promotion director and reporter for the Nashville Banner, now employed by the Army Corps of Engineers. She was a Methodist.

Survivors besides her son include a sister, Mrs. Lois O'Guin, New Castle, Del.; two brothers, Robert and Howard McClanahan, both of Pensacola, Fla.: and one grandchild.


Beulah married Samuel Alonso Bond on 22 Sep 1923 in , Sumner, TN.1 (Samuel Alonso Bond was born on 8 Aug 1895 in Centerville, Hickman, TN,7 8 9 died on 25 Oct 1971 7 9 10 and was buried in Centerville: Oakmont Cemetery, Hickman, TN 7.)
