Obituary: The Journal Times: obituary of Robert Gordon Beicher on 8 Mar 1945 in Racine, Racine, WI. 2 Hospitalized for pneumonia in a hospital on Luzon, T4 Robert Gordon Beicher, 25, died Feb. 25, according to a telegram from the war department received Wednesday evening by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Beicher, 2016 Slauson avenue. In the service for four years, T4 Beicher was overseas for more than three years, participating in the New Guinea and Philippine campaigns. He left for overseas from Fort Bragg, N. C, with Battery C, 209th battalion, coast artillery. Born March 9, 1919, he would have celebrated his 26th birthday anniversary tomorrow. He attended St. Rose school and was graduated from St. Catherine's high school in 1937. Before entering the service, he was employed by R. C. Zastrow, Inc. Surviving are his parents and two brothers, Stewart and Jack, all of Racine.
