John Thomas Beicher and his bride of July 11, the former Dolores Phillips of Stevens Point, are residing at 2016 Slauson Ave. after a wedding trip to Canada. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Phillips of Stevens Point.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Beicher, 2016 Slauson Ave., are the parents of the bridegroom.
The wedding took place in St. Stephen's Church at Steven's Point, Rev. John McGinley officiating, and was followed by a wedding dinner and a large reception. The bride's ballerina length gown of Chantilly lace and net over satin was designed with matching lace jacket. Net ruching and pearls detailed the Jace helmet which secured her bridal of illusion. She carried a sheaf of white roses. Mrs. Emil Guzman, her sister's honor attendant, was in ice blue net over taffeta, ballerina length, with matching brief jacket, lace mitts and lace cap. She carried a sheaf of pink carnations.
Stewart Beicher of Racine was his brother's best man. Ushers were Richard Phillips and Emil Guzman, both of Stevens Point. The bride is a private secretary for then Kenosha Manufacturers' Association. The bridegroom is with Howard Industries, Racine.

Sept. 25, 2006, at Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff. John was born on March 18, 1928, in Racine, the son of Paul T. and Edna (Myers) Beicher. He was a Korean War veteran, serving in the U.S. Army as a sergeant. John was a Knight of Columbus member and council president at St. Maria Goretti Church in Madison and a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Woodruff. John worked part-time at Trigs in Minocqua. He loved fishing, yard work, spending time with his friends and family and was an avid Packers fan. Survivors include his wife, Dolores "Dorie" of Hazelhurst; three sons, Robert Beicher of Bellville, Thomas (Gretchen) Beicher of Madison, and Michael Beicher of Bellville; a daughter, Mary (John) Felly of Madison; eight grandchildren, Jason, Cody, Erick, Carl, Michael, Danielle, Nicholas (Heidi) and Renee (Brennen) Kraus; and by 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia. Upon his wishes, cremation took place and a memorial service will take place at a later date in Madison. Bolger Funeral and Cremation Services of Minocqua is serving the family.


John married Dolores Lillian Phillips, daughter of Carl J. Phillips and Lillian M. Borchardt, on 11 Jul 1953 in Stevens Point, Portage, WI.1 2 (Dolores Lillian Phillips was born on 18 Mar 1927 in Stevens Point, Portage, WI 16 and died on 6 Mar 2016 in Madison, Dane, WI 16.)
