Harrington is a graduate of Eaton High School. The lieutenant also attended Indiana University. He now is stationed at Mather AFB in California.

EATON - Edith B. Smith, 86, 407 E. North St., in Ball Hospital Sunday morning. She had been in failing health for several months.
A Delaware County native, she resided in Eaton most of her life. She was the widow of Charles S. who died in 1971. She was a member of the Christian Church, Eaton, the Eaton War Mothers the Women of the Moose, Hartford City.
Survivors include one son, Charles Beecher, Green Bay, Wis.; two daughters, Mrs. Betty McCleery, Eaton, and Mrs. Murletta Riegel, Sacramento, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Wright, Eaton, Mrs. Effie Lambiotte, Niles, Mich.; five grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Pittman-Richman Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Burrett and Rev. Walter Brown officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.
Friends may call 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.

Edith married Chester Earl Beecher, son of William Peter Beecher and Louella May Creek, on 10 Jul 1909 in , Delaware, IN. The marriage ended in divorce about 1928.
