DE PERE - Chester Earl Beecher, 61, 213 Reid street, former general superintendent of the Nicolet Paper corporation plant here, died at 4 o'clock this morning in an Orlando, Fla., hospital. He had been in ill health for the last six months, and had spent the last few months in Florida. His two sons, Chester A., and Charles L., both of De Pere, flew to Florida Saturday and with Mrs. Beecher were with their father at the time of his death. The body will be brought to the Ryan Funeral home but arrangements for services are incomplete. Mr. Beecher retired from work three years ago, after 16 years as superintendent of the Nicolet Paper corporation plant. He had worked in the paper-making industry all his life, starting at the age of 14 at Hartford City. Ind. Later he was associated with the Glassine Paper company In Conshohocken. Pa., and while there invented a process whereby glassine paper was improved and more efficiently manufactured. He came to Green Bay about 2 years ago and was a member of the Holy Name society of St. Joseph church. Besides his wife, the former Elsie Westcott, and his two sons, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Paul Regial, Philadelphia, Pa., and Mrs. Ted McCleery, Muncie, Ind., and five grandchildren. Two brothers and two sisters of Philadelphia also survive.

15. Obituary: Muncie Star Press: obituary of Chester Beecher on 19 Jul 1949 in Muncie, Delaware, IN. 16 Chester Beecher, 68, of Green Bay, Wis., a former resident of Hartford City, died Monday at Orlando, Fla., where he had gone in the interest of his health. His wife, Elsie Beecher, was at his side at the time of his death. The body is to be returned to Green Bay for burial. Surviving other than the widow are two sons, Charles and Arthur, of Green Bay, and two daughters, Mrs. Murletta Riegel, of Eaton, and Mrs. Betty McCleery, of Anderson. Mr. Beecher was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Beecher, and was born in Hartford City.


Chester married Edith Sarah Barrett, daughter of John H. Barrett and Susan, on 10 Jul 1909 in , Delaware, IN. The marriage ended in divorce about 1928. (Edith Sarah Barrett was born on 3 Sep 1893 in Eaton, Delaware, IN,9 17 18 died on 9 Sep 1979 in Muncie, Delaware, IN 18 19 and was buried on 12 Sep 1979 in Eaton: Union Cemetery, Delaware, IN 18.)


Chester next married Elise I. Westcott on 19 Sep 1938 in De Pere, Brown, WI. (Elise I. Westcott was born in 1897 in , , WI,14 20 died in 1988 20 and was buried in Menasha, Winnebago, WI, USA 20.)
