Mr. Beecher, 65, of 1404 E. Hamilton Lane, Greenwood, died at 12:20 p.m. Monday, July 30, 1990, at Mercy Hospital, following a lengthy illness.

Mr. Beecher retired as a car repairman and welder from Conrail in 1979.

He was born June 6, 1925, in Altoona, the son of Edgar A. and Bessie (Long) Beecher, and Feb. 26, 1949, in Altoona, married Vyvian Lingenfelter.

Suviving are his wife, four children: Richard A. of Yorktown, Va.; David L. of Harrisburg, Darryl A. of Altoona and Kathy L., at home; and three grandchildren.

Mr. Beecher was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church.
He was also a member of the Juniata VFW and AARP.

Mr. Beecher was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Juniata.

BEECHER - Service for David C. Beecher of 1404 E. Hamilton Lane, Greenwood, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata, by the Rev. Carl Alexy.

Interment at Alto-Reste Park. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
