Beecher, 57, Ashland, RD 4, died Monday afternoon at his home of an apparent heart attack. He was born in Vermilion Township, Ashland County. Mr. Beecher was employed at the Eagle Rubber Co., Ashland, and was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Ashland Church of the Nazarene. He is survived by his, wife, Anna Mae; two sons, Donald and Henry both at home; one daughter, Joyce at home; three brothers, Doyle, and George both of Ashland, and Clayton, Perrysville, RD 1; three sisters. Mrs. Bertis (Naomi) Riffle of Ashland; Mrs. Harry (Frances) Olewiler of Ashland, RD 4, and Mrs. Clarence (Marjorie) Heldenbrand, Ashland, RD 4. Services will be held Thursday at 2 p. m. at the Ashland Church of the Nazarene by the Rev. Ivan Beatty. Burial will be in Vermilion Cemetery, Hayesville. Friends may call at the Byerly Funeral Home, Lucas, Wednesday. James married Anna Mae Glass, daughter of Charles Alexander Glass Sr. and Elsie I.
