Mrs. Emma Seifrit, widow of Jared Seifrit, died of a complication of diseases, aged 59 years, at her residence, 377 Schuylkill avenue. Mrs. Seifrit was born in Bern, where she lived all her life until last March, when she came to Reading. She was a member of Bern Reformed church. These children remain: Mrs. Charles Beechert, Emma T., Carrie and Edward Seifrit, of Reading; Frank and James Seifrit, of Bern; Mrs. Samuel Klopp, of Wernersville; Adam, of Lower Heidelberg; and Charles, in the West; also three sisters, Mrs. Issac Deppen, of Lebanon; Mrs. Christian Leinbach and Mrs. James Faust, of Reading.

Emma married Jared B. Seifrit. (Jared B. Seifrit was born on 28 Jan 1841 in Bern Twp., Berks, PA,^{5 6} died on 14 Mar 1897 in Bern Twp., Berks, PA ^{5 6} and was buried in Bernville: Bern Churchyard, Berks, PA ⁵.)
