Everyone and their parents were born in Ohio, except Astrid's parents were born in Denmark.

2. Census in 1930 in East Cleveland, Cuyahoga, OH. 11 The 1930 census recorded owning a $9,000 home at 1620 Carlyon Rd: John E. Wise, insurance salesman, 38, living with wife Astrid E., public school teacher, 42; Mildred, 13; and Lois, 11. Announcement is being made of the marriage of Miss Lois Marie Wise, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John E. Wise of Cleveland, and John Irvin Beicher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl I. Beicher of 217 Orchard street, which took place Saturday in Cleveland. The ceremony was read by Dr. Harold Ernsberger, pastor in the Cavalry Lutheran church.
The bride escorted to the altar by her father word a period gown of traditional white satin which was lace trimmed. The sleeves were puffed at the shoulders and tight fitting to the wrists and the skirt had a short train. Her fingertip length veil was caught to her hair with a tiara of satin and lace and she carried a bridal bouquet of white roses and orchids.
The attendants were Mrs. Carl Strack, sister of the bride, who was her matron of honor, and Misses Edith Wolf and Gertrude Gadus, sorority sisters, and Miss Marion Binder were bridsmaids.
The attendants gowns were period models of moire satin with draped skirts gathered in a bustle effect in the back. Mrs. Strack wore a deep shade of rose and the bridesmaids gowns were in a lighter shade. All carried arm bouquets of roses.
William Phler Jr. of Marion served Mr. Beecher as best man and ushers were Charles Beicher of Marion, brother of the bridegroom, Charles Stander of Lorain, a fraternity brother, and Carl Struck.
Miss Virginia Morgan sang Be Loved and At Dawning and Mrs. Haas at the organ played I Love You Truly.
Following the ceremony there was a reception at the home of the bride's uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sosman of Shaker Heights. The sorority and fraternity colors of the bride and bridegroom were carried out in the appointments and the tea table held tea roses. Later the couple went on a wedding trip without revealing their destination.
Mr. Beicher and his bride are graduates of Ohio university. The bride is a member of Chi Omega sorority and Mr. Beecher is a member of Sigma Chi fraternity and the Torch and Blue Key. He is associated with the sales department of the Osgood Co.
Attending the wedding from Marion were Mr. and Mrs. Beicher, parents of the bridegroom and his grandmother, Mrs. Louisa Beecher. Mrs. Kathleen Campbell, Miss Corine Lacey, Miss Lois Hall, Miss Ruth Ann Sexton, Charles Beicher, Jack Campbell and Robert Maynard and accompanying them was Mrs. Martha Page of Columbia, Mo.

Another wedding of Saturday, Aug. 10, is the fomer Miss Lois Marie Wise, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John E. Wise, 1620 Carlyon Road, East Cleveland, and Mr. John Irvin Beicher of Marion, O., which took place in the Cavalry Lutheran Church in East Cleveland. Rev. Dr. Harold B. Erksberger, pastor of the church, officiated. Mrs. Carl Strack, sister of the bride, was matron of honor and bridesmaids were the Missed Edith Wulf and Gertrude Gadus, sorority sisters of the bride, and Marlon Binder. Mr. William Pohler, Jr., of Marion was best man. Ushers were Messrs. Charles Beicher, brother of the bridegroom; Charles Standen and Carl Strack. Miss Virginia Morgan was the soloist. A reception followed at the home of the bride's uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sosman, 3353 Lansmere Road, Shaker Heights. Both Miss Wise and Mr. Beicher were graduated from Ohio University, where Miss Wise was a member of Chi Omega. Mr. Beicher belonged to Sigma Pi fraternity, the Blue Key and Torch societies.

Services for Lois M. Beicher (nee Wise), 81, will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Road at Northwest Hwy., Mount Prospect.

Born Aug. 12, 1918, in Cleveland, Ohio, she died Sunday, May 21, 2000.

Mrs. Beicher was a former volunteer at Northwest Community Hospital, Alexian Brothers Medical Center and the Mount Prospect Park District Conservatory, and an active member of the Homemakers Club.

She was the wife of the late John I; Beicher; mother of John W. (Laura) Beicher and Sue A. Livingston; grandmother of D. Tyler (Rebecca) Livingston, Kelly A. Livingston and Ryan T. Livingston; stepgrandmother of Joseph Kaplan, Kelly Esteve and Jodi Esteve; great-grandmother of Abigail Livingston and Sarah Livingston; and sister of Mildred Strack.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the time of the services Thursday, at the funeral home.

14. Obituary: Chicago Tribune on 24 May 2000 in Mount Prospect, Cook, IL. 9 Lois M. Beicher, 81, a 25-year resident of Mt. Prospect, was a homemaker and longtime community volunteer. Mrs. Beicher, who was born in Cleveland, died Sunday, May 21, in her home. Mrs. Beicher was a volunteer for nearly 15 years, until 1990, at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village and Friendship Park Conservatory in Mt. Prospect. Mrs. Beicher was also a volunteer with Homemakers Extension Service, a community service organization in the northwest suburbs. "She was kind," said her daughter Sue Livingston. "She was an old-fashioned wife and mother. Her mom was a teacher. She learned her way of life from her." Mrs. Beicher is also survived by a son, John; a sister, Mildred Strack; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday when a service will begin in Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Rd., Mt. Prospect.
