The wedding of Miss Rhea A. Beecher, daughter of Mrs. Grace Beecher, 1210 Susquehanna street, to Edward B. Maff, of Mahanoy City, has been announced by Mrs. Beecher. The ceremony took place on April 15, in the rectory of St. John's Catholic Church, Frederick, Md.

4. Obituary: Patriot-News: obituary of Edward B. Maff Sr. On 2 May 2008 in Harrisburg, Dauphin, PA. 4 Edward B. Maff, Sr., 94, of Harrisburg, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, Wednesday, April 30, 2008 in Harrisburg Hospital.
Born in Mahanoy City, he was the son of the late Anthony and Marian (Richadelli) Maff. Edward was the youngest of twelve siblings, he was predeceased in death by six brothers, Joseph, Louis, Anthony, Frank, Michael and Richard; four sisters, Jenny, Rose, Julia and Dorothy.
He was a retired self employed Barber, of Maff's Barber Shop on North St. Harrisburg, and also was retired from the Mechanicsburg Ships Parts control center. He was a member of Cathedral Parish of St. Patrick.
Ed enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and traveling across country on Amtrak trains, he had a great love for Amtrak Trains. He was a long life Yankees fan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Rhea A. (Beecher) Maff, a son, Edward B. Maff Jr. and wife Deborah A. (Neilson) Maff of Mechanicsburg, three daughters, Madeline Burridge and Sydney Summerhill of Camp Hill, Julia R. Vinson and husband Dennis of Hatboro, and Angela R. Lawson of Harrisburg, eleven grandchildren, Michael and wife Carol Burridge,David Burridge, Adam Burridge and fiance' Jacquelyn Kipp, Dennis Vinson Jr. and wife Elizabeth, Angela Vinson Puerzer and husband, Thomas, James Vinson and Cailin Heilig, Brent and wife AnnMarie Lawson, Edward Lawson and Fiance Joslyn Defibaugh, Justin, Jennifer and Patrick Maff, nine great grandchildren, Anthony Burridge, Jordon Lawson, Gregory and Marisa Burridge, James, Grant, and Cole Vinson, Addison Lawson and Thomas Puerzer and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 9 AM in Cathedral Parish of St. Patrick, 212 St. Street, Harrisburg, PA, with the Rev. Thomas J. Rozman as celebrant. Burial will be in Paxtang Cemetery, Harrisburg.
Viewing will be on Friday, May 2, 2008 from 6 to 8 PM and 8 to 8:30 AM Saturday, May 3, 2008 in the Neumyer Funeral Home, Inc., 1334 N. 2nd. St., Harrisburg, PA.
