1. Newspaper: Record American, 23 Feb 1920, Mahanoy City, Schuylkill, PA. 3 MINER KILLED AT THE MOREA COLLIERY
Caught under a fail of shell coal at the Morea Colliery this morning at eight o'clock Vincent Swistak married with wife and one child waa Instantly killed. Death resulted from a fractured skull.
Deceased was employed as a miner and was engaged in robbing a pillar when the accident occurred. Tons of the coal fell upon him burying him beneath it. When he was removed from beneath the coal and debris life had already fled.
Deceased was of foreign birth, having been born in Poland twenty-nine years. He had resided in Morea for tho past several years.
He was a member of St. Casmir's Church, town, and also of St. Casmir's and St. Joseph's societies. His wife, one child, who reside in Morea, and one sister In New York City survive. The funeral will take place from his late home in Morea.

2. Census in 1930 in Morea, Schuylkill, PA. 4 The 1930 census recorded renting a home for $9 a month: Emil. F. Micun, miner in coal mine, 38, living with wife Julia A., 31; step-son Walter Swistak, 11, and step-daughter Florence, 9; daughters Teresa Micun, 7, and Genevia Micun, 5.
Emil and his parents were born in Poland. Julia was born in Pennsylvania and parents in Poland. The chidlren and their mother were born in Pennsylvania and fathers in Poland. Email immigraed in 1910 and was a U.S. citizen. Emil first married at age 30 and Julia at 16.

3. Census in 1940 in Morea, Schuylkill, PA. 5 The 1940 census recorded at Main Street: Julia Micun, widowed, 40, living with son Walter, laborer in coal mine, 21; daughters Florence, machine operator in dress factory, 19; Theresa, 17; Genieve, 15, Eleanor, 9, and sons Emil, 7, and Leonard, 1. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania and lived in the same house in 1935.
