Caught under a fail of shell coal at the Morea Colliery this morning at eight o'clock Vincent Swistak married with wife and one child waa Instantly killed. Death resulted from a fractured skull.
Deceased was employed as a miner and was engaged in robbing a pillar when the accident occurred. Tons of the coal fell upon him burying him beneath it. When he was removed from beneath the coal and debris life had already fled.
Deceased was of foreign birth, having been born in Poland twenty-nine years. He had resided in Morea for tho past several years.
He was a member of St. Casmir's Church, town, and also of St. Casmir's and St. Joseph's societies. His wife, one child, who reside in Morea, and one sister In New York City survive. The funeral will take place from his late home in Morea.

3. Census in 1930 in Morea, Schuylkill, PA. 13 The 1930 census recorded renting a home for $9 a month: Emil. F. Micun, miner in coal mine, 38, living with wife Julia A., 31; step-son Walter Swistak, 11, and step-daughter Florence, 9; daughters Teresa Micun, 7, and Genevia Micun, 5.
Emil and his parents were born in Poland. Julia was born in Pennsylvania and parents in Poland. The chidlren and their mother were born in Pennsylvania and fathers in Poland. Email immigraed in 1910 and was a U.S. citizen. Emil first married at age 30 and Julia at 16.

World War Veteran Is Caught In Rush of Coal While Working In A Chute.
Emil Micun, well-known Morea resident, was almost instantly killed about 10 o'clock this morning when he was caught in a rush from a rib while working in a chute in the Morea mine. Dr. Wasel Maholage, company physician, was summoned, entered the mine to render medical assistance, but Micun was beyond human aid, Death was caused by a broken back and a broken vertebrae, Reverend Joseph Klosinski, rector of St. Casimir's Polish R. C. church, of town, also entered the mine to administer the last rites of his church to the accident victim. The body was released by Deputy Coroner Frank W. Boczkowski, of town, to Funeral Director Francis X. Swirk for preparation for burial.
The departed was a native of Poland, but had resided in the United States for a number of years. For the past fifteen years he had resided at Morea, coming there from Detroit. During the World War he served in the United States Army, and was a member of Hall-Reese Post 1420, Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a member of St. Casimir's Polish R. C. church, town, and was also a member of several parish organizations including St. Casimir's and St. Joseph's societies. His survivors include his wife, the former Julia Brach, of New Boston; four children, Theresa, Genevieve, Eleanor and Emil, Jr., and two stepchildren, Walter and Florence Swistak. His mother, residing in Poland, also survives, as well as relatives in that country, Detroit and New Jersey.
Funeral arrangements remain to be completed. Francis X, Swirk is the funeral director in charge.

Everyone was born in Pennsylvania and lived in the same house in 1935.

A native of New Boston, daughter of the late John and Pauline Brach, she was educated in Mahanoy Township Schools.
Mrs. Micun had been employed at Model Garment Factory, Frackville, until retirement two years ago. A member of St. Ann's Church she also belonged to St. Ann's Guild, Catholic Daughters, Court St. James 1029 and Union of Polish Women of America, Group 34, all of Frackville.
Twice married, her first husband, Vincent Swistak, died 46 years ago; her second husband, Emil Micun, in 1938.
Surviving are seven children, Walter Swistak, Florence, wife of Frank Sienkiewicz and Theresa, wife of John Dembroski, all of Frackville; Genevieve, at home; Eleanore, wife of Vincent Achenbach, Frackville: Emil and Leonard, both at home; one brother and two sisters, John Brach, Mrs. Mary Matczak and Ada Brach, all of Philadelphia; 13 grandchildren; also a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Saturday morning from Edward J. Burke Funeral Home, Frackville. Mass in St. Ann's Church, with interment in St. Casimir's Cemetery, Mahanoy City.
