1. Obituary: Reading Times: obituary of Frederick H. Miller on 11 Jan 1871 in Reading, Berks, PA. 4 DIED. MILLER -- In this city, on the 9th inst., Frederick H. Miller, aged 89 years, 4 months and 29 days. The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral (without further notice) from his late residence No. 9 North Sixth street, on Saturday, at 2 o'clock, p. m., to proceed to Trinity Lutheran Church, and from thence to the Charles Evans Cemetery.

2. Obituary: Reading Times: obituary of Frederick H. Miller on 13 Jan 1871 in Reading, Berks, PA. 3 Death Of An Old Tipstaff. -- Frederick H. Miller, an old citizen, died on Monday in the ninetieth year of his age. Deceased was for some ten years, and up to about four years ago, a tipstaff in the Court of Quarter Sessions, having been appointed by Judge Jones. Frequenters of the Court will remember him as a white haired tremulous old man kind and obliging in his manners, and zealous and faithful in the performance of his duties. He was a miller by trade. He had been a resident of this city for over thirty years.

3. Newspaper: Reading Times: Dispute over Estate of Frederick H. Miller, 6 Sep 1880, Reading, Berks, PA. 5 In the matter of issuing letters of administration upon the estate of Frederick H. Miller who died in this city in 1871, concerning which there was a contest between John L. Miller, a child by the decedent's second wife, and other heirs, the Register of Wills on Saturday rendered his decision as follows:
"Taking all other facts into consideration the Register is clearly of the opinion that although Mr. Miller enjoys a statutory preference as son, over his elder half-sister, he has not been shown to be a proper person to be intrusted with the administration of the estate, and letters of administration on the estate of Frederick H. Miller, are accordingly awarded to Mrs. Sarah Gillam. For the same reason letters on the estate of Sarah Miller are awarded to Edwin O. Immel."
