Announced this week is the marriage of Miss Bette Ann Meidlinger to Pvt. Robert L. Beecher. The couple recited their vows at 4 p. m. Sept 5 in First Lutheran Church. Mrs. Ada Field, 1330 Linden Ave., is the mother of the bride, a graduate of Polytechnic High School. The bridgegroom, stationed with the Army at San Luis Obispo, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Beecher of Wilmington.

Robert married Bette Ann Meidlinger, daughter of Alfred Edward Meidlinger and Ada Marie Bowser, on 5 Sep 1953 in Long Beach: First Lutheran Church, Los Angeles, CA.^{1 2} (Bette Ann Meidlinger was born on 29 Jun 1935 in Granite Falls, Yellow Medicine, MN ^{1 7 8} and died on 22 Dec 2013 ^{1 8}.)
