1. Obituary: Perry County Democrat: obituary of Franics W. Woods on 26 Jan 1938 in New Bloomfield, Perry, PA. 5 Francis W. Woods, of 4314 Penn street, Philadelphia, died in the Frankford Hospital on Monday, January 17, from injuries caused by falling down the stairs. He was aged 71 years and 4 months.
Mr. Woods was a son of the late Samuel and Agnes Woods, of Blain, and was a native of that place until manhood. He is survived by the following children: Mrs. Dessie Marquart, Mrs. Sara Fahnestock, Mrs. Mary Wolfe, of Lemoyne; Mrs. Anna Beecher, Wormleysburg; Frank Woods, of Carlisle; Irene and Lloyd Woods and Mrs. Esther Bowman, of Newville; Mrs. Minta Yarlette, Mechanicsburg R. D. 1; sixteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one sister, Sara, Mrs. Arthur Garber, of Florin; three brothers, Cloyd, of Lititz; John, of Lewistown, and Samuel, of Blain.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p. m. at the Martin funeral parlor, in Blain, Rev. Glenn W. Foulke officiating, and burial was in Blain union cemetery. The pallbearers were Edward Weaver, Charles Hench, Harry Henry, Riley Smith, William Smith and Arthur Gray.
