There were married for 23 years and had birthed 7 children, 5 alive in 1900. Living with them: George H., 20, Jun 1879; Ida M., 18, Oct 1881; Antinetta, 13, Oct 1886; Edward C., 6, May 1894; and Mary L., 3, Jan 1897. Everyone and their parents were born in Pennsylvania except William and his mother in Illinois, and Lucyna and her parents in New York.

2. Census in 1910 in Franklin, Venango, PA. ¹ The 1910 census recorded at 1309 New Street: W. H. Beecher, carpenter, 57, born in Illinois, living with wife Lucina, 56, born in New York; and their children born in Pennsylvania: son Edward, 15; and daughter Lucina, 13. The parents had been married 32 years and given birth to 7 children, 5 still alive in 1910.

6. Obituary: Lima News: Obituary of Edward C. Beecher Sr. On 17 Jul 1969 in Lima, Allen, OH. ⁸ Edward C. Beecher Sr., 75, of 1110 S. Union, was dead on arrival 9:30 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Hospital of an apparent heart attack.

Born May 30, 1894, in Franklin, Pa., he was the son of William and Jane White Beecher. He was married to Opha L. Ransbottom Beecher, who died May 31, 1965.

A retired employee of Ohio Steel Foundry, he was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1275 and a World War I veteran.

Surviving are a son, Edward C. Beecher Jr. of 713 E. 3rd; a daughter, Mrs. Herbert (Dorothy) Ross of 104 W. Sugar, Cridersville; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. His son is assistant fire chief with the Lima Fire Department.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Lewis Memorial Chapel of Chiles and Sons-Laman Funeral Home, Rev. Milburn Miller officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 tonight.

Edward married Opha L. Ransbottom, daughter of Isaac M. Ransbottom and Lydia Jane Yoakam. (Opha L. Ransbottom was born on 17 Jan 1898 in Lafayette, Allen, OH,⁹ died on 31 May 1965 in Lima, Allen, OH ^{8 9} and was buried in Lima: Memorial Park Mausoleum Cemetery, Allen, OH ^{8 9}.)
