1. Census in 1880 in Le Raysville, Bradford, PA. ³ The 1880 census recorded Geo. W. Beecher, 34, living with wife Elizabeth, 33; son Leon, 6; son Leslie, 4. Also with them is Josiah Broadley, 40, born in England. The Beechers and their parents were all born in Pennsylvania.

2. Newspaper: Scranton Republican: wedding of Leon J. Beecher and Margaret Franz, 9 Apr 1907, Scranton, Lackawanna, PA. ⁶ Leon J. Beecher, of Clemo, and Miss Margaret Franz, of Hawley, were married last Wednesday in Binghamton, N. Y. They are now on their wedding tour and on their return they will settle at Clemo, where Mr. Beecher is employed by the Clemo Hunting and Fishing club.

3. Obituary: The Times-Tribune: obituary of Leon J. Beecher on 21 Jan 1927 in Scranton, Lackawanna, PA. ⁵ Leon J. Beecher, of Hoadleys, died last Monday at Pomona, Fla., after a short illness. The remains will be sent to Brown's mortuary chapel at Honesdale, from which place services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
