Obituary: Reading Times: obituary of Mrs. Elizabeth Weitzel on 18 May 1909 in Reading, Berks, PA. 11 Mrs. Benjamin Weltzel (nee Becker) died at the home of her son, Harrison Weitzel, in Lower Heidelberg, early Monday morning, after being bedfast for over two years, aged 93 years, 7 months and 11 days. She was a member of the Lutheran congregation at Sinking Springs and leaves a son, Harrison, of Lower Heidelberg; one daughter, Mrs. James Lamm, near Kissinger Church; 13 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Deceased always lived in that vicinity and leaves a host of friends. Her home was with her son for 31 years. Her husband died in 1875.


Elizabeth married Benjamin Weitzel, son of Christian Weitzel and Catherine Daubert. (Benjamin Weitzel was born on 2 Jun 1807 in , Berks, PA,12 died on 22 Feb 1881 in Lower Heidelberg Twp., Berks, PA 12 and was buried on 28 Feb 1881 in Sinking Spring: Sinking Spring Cemetery, Berks, PA 12.)
