1. Military in , , PA: This William Wall is not the one in Co. H 50th Regt. PA Volunteers. The PA Archives roster for Co. H. Shows that soldier was 24 years old when he enlisted in Feb 1864, whereas our William died in Feb 1862 and was older. 5

He has conflicting burial information of While William was actually buried in Philadelphia in 1862, a memorial tombstone for William Walls was later erected in Charles Evans Cemetery, likely in 1914 when his wife died, since their stones are identical. And Reading: Charles Evans Cemetery, Berks, PA. 2

3. Census in 1850 in Reading, Berks, PA. 1 The 1850 census recorded William Wall, shoemaker, 25, living with wife Catharine, 20. They are in the same building with Henry Riegle, shoemaker, 30, and his wife Sarah, 36, and their children. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania.

4. Cause of Death: 27 May 1862, Contee Station, Prince George's, MD. 6 9 Soldier William Wall died at Contee Station on the Baltimore & Washington Railroad in Prince George's County, Maryland, according to a handwritten note written by S. Gray M.D. that is recorded in the "Pennsylvania, Philadelphia City Death Certificates, 1803-1915" and can be viewed at https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:S3HT-67DW-3TF?cc=1320976&wc=9F51-N38%3A1073280001. The note reads:
