1. Obituary: Gazette and Daily: obituary of Homer L. Staley on 28 May 1963 in York, York, PA. ² Homer L. Staley, 59, of 1419 West College avenue, died yesterday at 4 p.m. at York hospital. A World War II Army veteran, he belonged to the Victory Athletic association, Vigilant Fire Company Social club, and White Rose Lodge 15, Fraternal Order of Police. He was the owner of Staley's Swap Shop at 257 South George street. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Carl Boyer, 529 Thomas street; a son, John Staley, 26 North West street; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Edwin Bruner, Mus-kego, Wis.; and Mrs. Jack Robinson, Warrens, Wis.; and seven brothers, Ralph E., York RD 2; Charles A., Milwaukee, Wis.; Thurston A., Dallastown; Marlton 0. , Washington, N.C.; Leon A., South Carolina; Preston L., 1430 Fireside road; and Warren A. Staley, 508 Atlantic avenue. Rev. Robert J. Calhoun, pastor of Union Lutheran church, will conduct funeral services Friday at 2 p.m. at the Decker and Decker Funeral home, 550 West King street. Burial will be in Greenmount cemetery.

Homer married Dorothy L. Bowers, daughter of John Leander Bowers and Elizabeth Rebecca Beecher, in Mar 1949 in Westminster, Carroll, MD.¹ (Dorothy L.
