Obituary: Gunderson East Funeral & Cremation Care on 5 Jan 2024 in Madison, Dane, WI. ³ MADISON - Robert James "Bob" Kok, age 80, of Madison, Wis., passed away on Friday, Jan. 5, 2024, after a long battle with cancer. Bob was born on July 16, 1943, to Henry and Bessie Kok in Randolph Wis. He always felt blessed that he was born into a Christian family on a traditional 1940s dairy farm. Later he bought the farm and returned many acres back to its natural land for wildlife refuge. The family spent many hours riding the trails and fishing in the pond. His entire career was spent in the IT industry, retiring in 2010.
Bob is survived by his sons, Dan, Jeff (Carol), Jim (Kristine), Matthew Kok and Jason (Sara) Koenig; grandchildren, Spencer, Seth, Molly, Mikey, Adam, Sam, Anna, Tanner and Roger; and great-grandchildren, Henry and Henry. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn (1984) and wife, Pat (2023); brother, Sy; and his parents.
A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
