The former Carolyn Halvorson was born on November 27, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois. She lived in Middieton during her formative years. She was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her husband, Robert J.; two sons, Daniel and Matthew; two stepsons, Jeffrey and James, all of Madison; her father, Eugene Halvorson of Menominee, Wisconsin; a brother, Gerald Halverson of Detroit, Michigan; mother and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kok of Route 2, Randolph, Wisconsin; several brothers and sisters-in-law; and nieces, nephews, and friends: She was preceded in death by her mother, Christine Halvorson. Funeral services will be held at the GUNDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 2, with Reverend T. Stewart Coffman officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 1, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
