Census in 1940 in Fort Lee, Bergen, NJ, United States. 6 The 1940 census recorded renting at 322 Main Street: Pari Rizzardi, landscaping gardener, 41, living with wife Lena, 31; son Joseph, 14; son Casimus, 12; and son Ermi, 4. The parents were born in Italy and their sons in Pennsylvania. In 1935 everyone lived in the same place except Lena was in Trieste, Italy.
Pari was a naturalized U.S. citizen but Lena was an alien.

2. Census in 1940 in Girardville, Schuylkill, PA. 7 The 1940 census recorded owning a $10,000 home at 35 West Main Street: Viola Tenaglia, proprietress of grocery store, widowed, 41, living with daughter Mary, 16; son Anthony, 13; daughter Ida, 12; and son Albert, 10. Also in her home is her nephew, Casimir Rizzardi, 13 (he was the son of Viola's deceased sister Angelina Casari who was the first wife of Paride Rizzardi.).

3. Census in 1950 in Sayre, Bradford, PA. 8 The 1950 census recorded at 409 Desmond Street: Casimir M. Rizzardi, meat cutter in retail grocery, 23, single, never married, as a lodger in the home of James Johnson, 60. Casimir was born in Pennsylania and his parents in Italy.

St. Peters' Church, Reading, was the scene of a beautiful wedding Saturday morning, June 27, when Casimir M. Rizzardi, a former resident of Girardville, son of Mr. and the late Mrs. Paridie Rizzardi, of Fort Lee, N.J., and Miss Joan Light, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Light, 41 Lemon street, Reading, were united in holy matrimony. The double ring ceremony was performed by t the Rev. Ignatius Attending J.
Szal. the couple were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph F. Rizzardi, Girardville, brother and sister-in-law of the bridegroom, as matron of honor and best man respectively.
George Haage presided at the console and rendered the traditional wedding marches as processional and recessional, and appropriate hymns. The bride was lovely in a white strapless organdy ballerina length gown with bolero. Her fingertip veil of illusion was arranged from a tiara. of pearls and she carried a colonial bouquet of white roses and gardenias. She also wore pearls, a gift of the bridegroom. The matron of honor was charming in a blue net over taffeta ballerina length gown. Her headpiece was pink rose tiara and she carried a colonial bouquet pink roses. Following a reception for immediate relatives and intimate friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Rizzardi, they left on a honeymoon in New York.
For traveling the bride wore a pink silk shantung dress with white accessories and orchid shoulder corsage. Upon their return they will reside a newly-furnished apartment, 1119 Windsor street, Reading. Mrs. Rizzardi attended the Readting High School. Mr. Rizzardi attended St. Joseph's School, Girardville, and is employed by the People's Market, Reading.

A family reunion was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Rizzardi, of 20 Julia street. Those attending were: Mr. and Mrs.
Paride Rizzardi, of Fort Lee, New Jersey; Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Neville and children, of New York and Mr. and Mrs. Casimer Rizzardi and children, Reading.

9. Obituary: Carroll County Times on 14 Jul 2015 in Westminster, Carroll, MD. 4 Casimir Mario Rizzardi, age 88, of Mt. Airy, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2015, at the Carroll Hospice Dove House, Westminster. Born January 11, 1927, in Schuylkill, PA he was the son of the late Paride Rizzardi and Angelina Casari Rizzardi. He was the husband of Joan E. Light Rizzardi; his wife of 62 years. Mario had worked as a meat cutter for over 60 years. He had worked for Genuardi's Super Market in Pottstown, PA and for the past few years at Wagner's Meat Locker, Mt. Airy, MD. Mario had served in the U.S. Navy from 1945-1946. He and his wife lived for many years in the Reading, PA area and for the past few years with his daughter and son-in-law in Mt. Airy, MD. Surviving in addition to his wife are son, Mark Stephen Rizzardi of Reading, PA; daughters, Mary Elizabeth Murray of Mt. Airy and Lisa Marie Dennis of Reading; grandchildren, Angelina E. Leibenguth, Jonathan M. Rizzardi and Christopher T. Wagner and nephews, Thomas and Anthony Rizzardi. He was predeceased by brother, Joseph Rizzardi and granddaughter, Amy Marie Rizzardi. The family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 PM at the Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, MD. A funeral mass will be held at a later date at St. John Baptist de la Salle in Shillington, PA. Interment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reading, PA.


Casimir married Joan Elizabeth Light, daughter of Robert John Light Sr. and Elda M. Hoffman, on 27 Jun 1953 in Reading, Berks, PA.1 2 (Joan Elizabeth Light was born on 27 Aug 1933 in Reading, Berks, PA,2 died on 25 Apr 2020 in Mount Airy, Carroll, MD 2 and was buried in Reiffton: Forest Hills Memorial Park, Berks, PA 2.)
