Census in 1940 in Girardville, Schuylkill, PA. 1 The 1940 census recorded owning a $10,000 home at 35 West Main Street: Viola Tenaglia, proprietress of grocery store, widowed, 41, living with daughter Mary, 16; son Anthony, 13; daughter Ida, 12; and son Albert, 10. Also in her home is her nephew, Casimir Rizzardi, 13 (he was the son of Viola's deceased sister Angelina Casari who was the first wife of Paride Rizzardi.).

2. Census in 1950 in Girardville, Schuylkill, Pennsylvania, United States. 2 The 1950 census recorded at 35 West Main Street: Viola Tenalia, widowed, proprietor of retail grocery store, 51, living with son Anthony G., store clerk in grocery store, 23, and son Albert G., 20. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania.

3. Newspaper: Shenandoah Evening Herald, 3 Jan 1952, Shenandoah, Schuylkill, PA. 3 Miss Mary De Prince R.N., Miss Ida Tenaglia, dental hygienist, and Anthony Tenaglia, employed in Philadelphia, returned to their home after spending he New Year's vacation with their mother, Mrs. Viola Tenaglia, of West Main street.

4. Newspaper: Shenandoah Evening Herald, 3 Jan 1952, Shenandoah, Schuylkill, PA. 3 Christmas Prayer
Mrs. Viola Tenaglia, of West Main street, received a Christmas prayer from her son, Pfc. Albert Tenaglia, stationed with the Military Police detachment at the 98th General Hospital in Germany. His holiday message reads:
"Heavenly Father up above,
Please protect the mother I love.
Keep her always safe and sound,
No matter when or where she's bound.
Help her to see that I love her
And she loves me,
And then, Dear Lord, help me to be
The son that she would want of me.
Help me, please, to always do,
The things that prove me ever true.
Keep us now, Keep us forever,
Happy, loving and always together.
Grant me this, O Lord, and then,
I'll be contented forever, Amen."

5. Newspaper: Shenandoah Evening Herald, 16 Mar 1952, Shenandoah, Schuylkill, PA. 4 Albert Tenaglia, son of Mrs. Viola Tenaglia, of West Main street, and Louis J. Cataldo, son of Nicholas Cataldo, of Railroad street, arrived home after spending the past year in Germany on duty with the U.S. Army. They will be discharged at Indiantown Gap.
