MIDDLEBURG -- Hazel M. Spotts, 66, of Westfield Terrace died Monday evening, Nov. 18. 1991, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
Born Jan. 20, 1925, in Lewis Township, Northumberland County, she was the daughter of the late Richard R. and Verna (Machamer) Tompkins. She was married to Ray A. Spotts, who died in 1977.
She formerly lived at Mount Pleasant Mills RD. She attended Milton public schools.
In 1982, she retired from Susquehanna University, where she was employed as a housekeeper.
Mrs. Spotts was a member of Botschaft's-Grubb's Lutheran Church, Mount Pleasant Mills RD1, where she was a former member of LCW of the church; AAA, Sunbury; Order of the Eastern Star Lafayette Chapter, Selinsgrove; White Shrine, Sunbury; Heiser-Huffman VFW, Middleburg; and Ladies Auxiliary of Selinsgrove Moose.
She is survived by three daughters, Sandra A. Ulrich and Sharon K. Bucher, both of Middleburg RD1, and Rae Ellen Teats of Mount Pleasant Mills RD1; two brothers, Robert Tompkins of New Columbia RD1 and Albert Tompkins of Richfield RD2; three sisters, Harriet Fetter of Selinsgrove RD5, Lena Grafius of New Columbia RD1 and Ann Lehman of Mount Pleasant, Fla.; four grandchildren; and a greatgranddaughter.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, George Tompkins, Walter Tompkins, Richard Tompkins and William Tompkins, and a sister, Wallestina Tompkins.
The funeral will be private. Burial will be in Grubb's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Mills RD1. There will be no visitation.
