Pfc. Richard A. Horrox, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emerick Horrox, ol Ringtown RD 1, has begun training at USAF Technical School at Ft. Francis M. Warren, Cheyenne, Wyoming, it has been announced by Col. J. C. B. Elliott, commanding officer.
Besides aviation engineer skills such as construction equipment operation and repair, plumbing, carpentry, drafting, sieving, electricity and other building, and construction skills used in building air bases there is also an automotive mechanics course and an administrative course at this historic old former cavalry post, now a part of the Air Force Training Command. Upon completion of his training at Ft. Warren, the airman will be ready to assume his place at Air Force bases throughout the country and the world as a welder, bulldozer operator, mechanic, clerk-typist or any other of the more than 30 skills taught here. Some of the aviation engineer students will be assigned to aviation engineer battalions which are trained as units here prior to being assigned air base construction and maintenance duties anywhere in the world.
