Residence: Mortgage record in Shelby County, Illinois on 22 Jan 1876 in Windsor, Shelby, Illinois, United States. ¹ On January 22, 1876, Simpson Bechtold, a resident of Shelby County, Illinois, and his wife Annie M. Bechtold executed a Mortgage Deed of Trust. In this transaction, Simpson used town property he owned in Windsor, Illinois\emdash specifically Lot 4, Block 18\emdash as collateral for a $500 loan from Charles Ostermeier and James A. Duncan. Robert Young served as the trustee. The document, which identifies the Bechtolds as the grantors of the title, was notarized by H. F. Smyser and officially recorded on September 30, 1876, in Shelby County (Deed Book 112, Page 112).

Annie married Simpson Bechtold, son of John Bechtold and Frances "Fanny" Woomer. (Simpson Bechtold was born about 1849 in Marion Twp., Berks, PA.)
