He was born in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., son of the late Jacob and Regina Thorsen Monson. He was a member of First Moravian Church.
Survivors include two children, Mrs. David Witmer, Everett, Pa., and Norman J. Monson Jr., Wrightsville; three grandchildren; two brothers, George Monson, Port Edwards, Wis.; Melvin Monson, Anchorage, Alaska, and a sister, Mrs. Robert Kolbe, Laona, Wis.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Robert F. Koller Funeral Home, 2000 W. Market St., with Mr. Monson's pastor, the Rev. Marvin Henkelman, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery.
