6. Obituary: The Dispatch: obituary of Mae Greene Beeker on 28 Sep 1987 in Lexington, Davidson, NC. ⁸ Mae Greene Beeker, 86, formerly of Center Church Road in Welcome, died Sunday in Davidson Nursing Center in Thomasville following an illness of one year.
Funeral will be 4 P.M. Tuesday at Center United Methodist Church by the Rev. Tom Howard and the Rev. Wilson Carter. Burial will be in the Center United Methodist Church cemetery.
Mrs. Beeker was born May 13, 1901 in Waxhaw County to William Samuel Greene and Daisy Charles Greene. She was a member of Center United Methodist Church in Welcome where she had served as a Sunday School teacher. Her husband, Harvey P. Beeker, died May 24.
Survivors include a son, Boyd Beeker of Center Church Road, Welcome; four daughters, Mrs. D. C. Crisman of Alexandria, Va.; Mrs. Jerry Hollifield of Wilmington; Mrs. George Williams of Edgewater, Md. and Mrs. Charles Blankenship of Dallas, Texas; a brother, George Greene of Washington, D.C., and a sister, Mrs. W.H. Cusick of Chillum, Md.; 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will see friends tonight from 7 to 9 P.M. at Davidson Funeral Home. During other times they will be at the home of Boyd Beeker on Center Church Road in Welcome.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Center United Church Casket Pall Fund, R. 8, Lexington, or to the donor's choice of charities.
