WELCOME -- Harvey Pierce Beeker, 84, of Welcome, died Sunday morning in North Carolina Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, after a week's serious illness.
The funeral will be a 11 A.M. Wednesday in Center United Methodist Church in Welcome by the Rev. William Blanton. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Beeker was born May 1, 1903, in Davidson County, to Albert Erastus Beeker and Jenny Leonard Beeker. He was retired in 1965 from Duke Power Company where he was a crane operator, and was a member of the Center United Methodist Church. He was a member of Lexington Masonic Lodge 473 for 50 years.
Surviving are his wife, Mate Greene Beeker of Davidson Nursing Center in Thomasville, to whom he was married May 3, 1923; a son, Boyd Beeker of Center Church Road; four daughters, Mrs. D.C. Crisman of Alexandria, Va., Mr.s Jerry Hollified of Wilmington, Mrs. George Williams of Edgewater, Md., and Mrs. Charles Blankenship of Dallas, Texas; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchidlren; a brother, George Beeker of Lexington, and two sisters, Mrs. Harvey H. Miller fo Brevard and Beulah Beeker of Albemarle.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, mermorials may be directed to Center United Methodist Church, Welcome, or to the donor's choice.

Harvey married Eva Mae Greene, daughter of William Samuel Greene and Daisy Attison Charles, on 3 May 1923.¹ (Eva Mae Greene was born on 13 May 1901 in Waxhaw, Union, NC,^{20 21} died on 27 Sep 1987 in Thomasville, Davidson, NC ^{20 22} and was buried on 29 Sep 1987 in Welcome: Center United Methodist Church Cemetery, Davidson, NC ^{20 22}.)
