Obituary: Greensboro Patriot: Accidental Death of Anderson Gallimore on 16 Jun 1849 in Greensboro, Guilford, NC. 1 Casualty. The Asheborough Herald of the 13th says, "A distressing accident happened at the Hoover Hill in Randolph county, on Friday the 8th. Mr. Anderson Gallimore, in preparing a charge to blast a rock, was instantly killed by an untimely explosion of the charge. He was an industrious and esteemed laborer, and left a large family in a destitute situation. William married Sarah Sallie Floyd. (Sarah Sallie Floyd was born about 1810 in , Davidson, NC 3.) |
