1. Obituary: Herald Argus: Obituary of Clarence Boehilke on 30 May 2006 in LaPorte, LaPorte, IN. ² Mr. Clarence William Boehlke, 91, of LaCrosse, and formerly of Valparaiso, died Friday, May 26, 2006, at his home.
He was born Aug. 22, 1914, in Wanatah to Otto and Ella (Baske) Boehlke.
Mr. Boehlke had been an accountant with the Budd Company in Gary, then with Josam Manufacturing in Michigan City, until his retirement in 1979. He was a 1932 Wanatah High School graduate and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Valparaiso. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, having served in the South Pacific.
On June 19, 1953, in Valparaiso, he married Ruth Billerbeck, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Donna (Terry) Beecher and Janet, both of LaCrosse; and four grandchildren, Jason, Clinton and Jenna Beecher and Rachel Hite.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Anna Werner Boehlke; one sister, Lola June; and one brother, Roger.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Valparaiso, with Revs. John Santoro and Freda Scales officiating. Friends may call at the church Wednesday from 1 p.m. until the service. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, LaPorte. Moeller Funeral Home, Valparaiso, is in charge of arrangements.
