Obituary: News and Observer: obituary of James M Paris on 23 Feb 1941 in Raleigh, Wake, NC. 2 3 Mebane \emdash James Monroe Paris, 82, a farmer living on Rt. 2, Graham, died at his home Sunday afternoon after being in declining health for several years. He was seriously ill for two days before his death. Funeral services were held from Salem Methodist Church near Swepsonville, Tuesday afternoon by the Reverends T. B. Hough and M. C. Henderson. Burial was made in the church cemetery. Mr. Paris is survived by one daughter, Miss Lala Paris of Mooresville, three sons, George and Duke of Route 2, Graham, P. B. of Aberdeen; one sister, Mrs. Annie Porterfield of Mebane and ten grandchildren. James married Dora Lee Thompson. (Dora Lee Thompson was born on 21 Jun 1869,4 died on 20 Oct 1929 4 and was buried in Haw River: Salem United Methodist Cemetery, Alamance, NC 4.) |
