Her prized possessions were her daughters, Tamer Jane and Sherri Lynne. After losing her husband and the girls' father at a young age as a result of a plane crash, Kay began a career in real estate. She quickly rose to be a leading agent in town as she was determined to care and graciously raise her girls and give them everything thy could ever need. She successfully did it all; and through the process, she instilled her strength, determination, love, care and kindness to others into her girls. Today we see the same strong and joyful qualities in her four grandchildren: Emily, Ashley, Marshall and James. She deeply and most unselfishly loved her girls and her grandchildren. And most recently her great-grandchild, Laura "Scottie" Denny.

Along the way of her real estate career, she met the love of her life and who became the greatest father figure that her girls could have ever wished for, David Mack Deese, Jr. they married September of 1979. Their unparalleled love for each other brought her unbelievable joy and enriched her life and the life of her treasured girls. He always left her special little notes before he was out the door for work. One she cherished was "Darlin- See you in a little while-ILY DMD, Jr."

Dave and Kay each had a love of baseball and spent countless hours following the Atlanta Braves and New York Yankees. Reggie Jackson was her favorite player.

Her grandchildren called her GG, for gorgeous grandmother and Dave Pop Pop. So much joy was exchanged during their many good times and adventures together. There was no greater love than the one they shared.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, David M. Deese, Jr. in 2014. She is survived by her daughters, Tammy Messick Beam (David), Lynne Messick Teeter (Jim DelRe); grandchildren, Emily Venturini (Billy), Ashley Denny (Scott), Marshall Gwyn (Olivia), James Teeter (Meghan); great-granddaughter, Scottie Denny; loving sister, Linda Stoker (Don); her nephews, Scott Stoker, Bradd Stoker (Erin); great nephew, Sam Stoker; great niece, Emmaline Stoker.

She is dearly loved and will be deeply missed, but her family knows peace in that she is in a better place, pain free, united with her Heavenly Father, her parents and her loving soulmate.

The family would like to most graciously thank the staff at Trinity Elms Memory Care, Health and Rehab for their unsurpassed skilled loving care and joy they brought to her the last eight months of her life. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Harper Heights Residents at Trinity Elms, 7449 Fair Oaks Dr., Clemmons, NC 27012.
