JONESVILLE - Mr. Benny Ray Beeker, 73, of Jonesville, passed away Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home.

Mr. Beeker was born Aug. 25, 1938, in Rowan County to John Calvin and Floreed Rummage Beeker. He retired from NCDOT and was a member of Cleveland Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother J.C. Beeker and sister Annie Mae Overcash.

Survivors include his wife, Lois V. Beeker of the home; sons Jock Beeker and wife Wendy of Salisbury and Todd Beeker and wife Renee of Salisbury; stepson Jackie Gentry of Tillery; stepdaughter, Sammie Dameron and husband Thomas of Jonesville; brother Tom Beeker and wife Helen of Rockwell; sister Marcella Freeze and husband Ned of Salisbury; grandchildren Zack of Greensboro, Eli of Georgia, Willow of Salisbury; step-grandchildren Aaron Dameron of Jonesville and Amanda Belton of Boonville; step-great-grandchildren Chloe Belton, Kaylee Belton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services: Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 2 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow in Fall Creek Baptist Church cemetery.

Visitation: The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.
