Mr. Brown was a former North Middleton Township Supervisor. He did many types of jobs including, butchering, dairy farming, saw milling, and owned his own excavating company. He was a good man and would help anyone, anytime. His favorite things were his family, hunting, fishing, his grandchildren, and anyone who came into his life. He will be missed by all.
Surviving are three sons, Kenneth R. of Carlisle, Lonnie A. of Carlisle, and Richard A. Brown II of Duncannon. Two daughters, Karen J. Clark of Carlisle and Linda Cassell of Duncannon. Two step children, Cindy Padgett and Tracy Dietrich both of Newport. 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a step daughter Deborah L. Padgett.
Services will be held at 1: 00 p.m. on Monday, January 4, 2010 at the Boyers Funeral Home 230 N. High Street, Duncannon. Rev. Matt Zang will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
