PICAYUNE -- Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. today at McDonald Funeral Home in Picayune for Ellis Pearson, 66, of Gulfport, who died May 8, 1993, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Biloxi. The Rev. Jimmy Dillard will officiate. Interment will be in New Palestine Cemetery. Mr. Pearson, a Picayune native, was employed by Movie Star and Maybelle Manufacturing Co. He was a member of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Cooley Pearson of Gulfport; two sons, James Pearson and Jeffery Pearson, both of Gulfport; two daughters, Beth Pearson Vierling of Gulfport and Lori Pearson Bentley of Franklin, Tenn.; one sister, Francis Pearson Stockstill of Picayune; and six grandchildren. McDonald Funeral Home in Picayune is in charge of arrangements.

Ellis married Margaret Elaine Cooley, daughter of James Carl Cooley and Adeline Bolen.
