She was born February 8, 1919, in Tipton County, the daughter of the late Theodore and Edna (Dooley) Hertle. She lived most all of her life in Anderson, retiring in 1983 from Guide Lamp after 31 years. Betty was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, the UAW-CIO Local #663 and loved growing and working in her flower garden.

She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Wilfred "Willy" Beher of Anderson; three children, David R. Beher of Anderson, Linda S. Farrar of Indianapolis and Debbie (Kenneth) Kraay of Anderson; five grandchildren, Bryan (Renee) McDaniel, Carrie (Zane) Brown, Zachary Kraay, Jennifer (Mike) Jackson and Ashley Farrar; five great grandchildren, Samantha, Kate, Brooklyn, Lauren, Kris and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Dr. Stephen Farrar; three brothers and one sister, William Hertle, Robert Hertle Jack Hertle and Helen Collins.

Service will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home, 515 East 53rd St. with burial in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
