1. Obituary: Tipton Daily Tribune: Mrs. E. N. Hertle Dies In Hospital on 25 Jul 1945 in Tipton, Tipton, IN, USA. ¹ Mrs. Edna A. Hertle, 59, of route 3, Alexandria, formerly of Tipton, died at 9 a.m. this morning at Mercy Hospital in Elwood, after an illness of more than five months. She had been in the hospital two weeks. Mrs. Hertle was a sister of Mrs. Nina Henderson and Mrs. Thomas Kigin, both of Tipton. She lived here while a girl and attended Tipton schools. Funeral arrangements have not been made, but will be set
when word is received from a son, Jack Hertle, who is stationed at Kessler Field. Miss.
Mrs. Hertle was born Aug. 27, 1885, at Creta, Iowa, the daughter of William and Alice Dooley.
They later moved to Tipton where she lived until her
marriage to Theodore Hertle of Elwood, Sept. 20, 1910. Mr. Hertle died Dec. 7, 1942.
Survivors, in addition to the two sisters and son, are four other children, Mrs. Wilfred Beher of Anderson, Mrs. Warren Ludlow of Orestes, and William and Robert, both at home, and three grandchildren.

Edna married Theodore R. Hertle on 20 Sep 1910 in Tipton, Tipton, IN, USA.¹ (Theodore R. Hertle was born on 8 Sep 1872 in Indianapolis, Marion, IN,⁴ died on 7 Dec 1942 in Elwood, Madison, IN ⁴ and was buried in Tipton: Saint Johns Cemetery, Tipton, IN, USA ⁴.)
