1. Census in 1900 in Earl Twp., Lancaster, PA. 1 The 1900 Census for Earl Township in Lancaster County lists Jacob Bicher, age 34 born Feb 1866, occupation farmer. Living in his household is his wife, Mary, 28, born Feb 1872; and Henry, born Oct. 1892; and Ada, born May 1900. The record shows Jacob and Mary were married 9 years and had given birth to a total of two children.

2. Census in 1910 in Brecknock Twp., Lancaster, PA. 11 Jacob Bicher, farmer, age 44, is living with wife Mary, age 38, married 19 years. She had given birth to two children, two of who were still living. Living with them are son Henry, 18; Ada, 10; and brother-in-law Martin Fox, 29. Everyone and their parents were born in Pennsylvania.

3. Newspaper: New Holland Clarion, 15 Nov 1919, New Holland, Lancaster, PA. 12 On Thursday, November 6, Barton Sensenig, of near Martindale, and Miss Ada Bicher, daughter of Mr. and Mr.s Jacob Bicher, near Martindale, were united in marriage, at the home of the bride's parents, by Bishop Moses Horning, of Bowmansville. About 50 relatives and friends of the bride and groom witnessed the ceremony, and afterwards, a bountiful dinner was served to all the guests.

9. Obituary: Lancaster New Era: obituary of Ada Sensenig on 26 Apr 1996 in Lancaster, Lancaster, PA. 8 Ada F. Sensenig, 95, of 502 Gristmill Road, Ephrata, died Wednesday evening at home after an illness of four months. She was the wife of Barton G. Sensenig, who died in 1959. Born in Earl Township, she was a daughter of the late Jacob and Mary Fox Bicher. A homemaker, she was a member of Martindale Mennonite Church. Surviving are four sons, Allen of Denver, Amos of Manheim, Jacob of Ephrata and Barton of Myers-town; three daughters, Elsie, wife of Harvey Brubacher of Richland, Florence of Fairmount Rest Home, Ephrata, and Ada of Ephrata; 27 grandchildren; 83 greatgrandchildren; 37 great-greatgrandchildren; and a sister, Mary, wife of John Zimmerman of Mechanicsville, Md.


Ada married Barton Groff Sensenig, son of Christian Burkholder Sensenig and Barbara Groff, on 6 Nov 1919 in Martindale, Lancaster, PA. (Barton Groff Sensenig was born on 20 Sep 1893 in Earl Twp., Lancaster, PA,17 18 died on 28 Mar 1959 in Lancaster, Lancaster, PA 8 17 18 and was buried on 1 Apr 1959 in Leola: Groffdale Mennonite Brick Church Cemetery, Lancaster, PA 17 18.)
