Census in 1860 in Waldwick, Iowa, WI. 1 The 1860 census recorded Joseph Beecher, 37, born in Prussia, Germany, living with wife Emiline, 39, born in Illinois, and their children all born in Wisconsin: Catharine, 8; Rachel, 6; Emilie, 4; Elizabeth, 2; Francis Joseph, 2 months old born in March; and listed last another Catharine, 13, born in Prussia, which suggests either Joseph had a first wife in Prussia before Emiline, or, Catherine is a neice of Joseph's brother. The town Joseph was in was Waldwick but their nearest post office was Mineral Point.

4. Obituary: Mineral Point Tribune: obituary of Mrs. T. E. Coad on 8 Dec 1927 in Mineral Point, Iowa, WI. 5 COAD. -- Mrs. T.E. Coad died at her home on High street in the forenoon of Nov. 30th, at the age of 76 years. Her illness was not of long duration but the best of attention was administered and her passing was blessed with peach and content.
Deceased was a daughter of Joseph Beecher, a pioneer settler of the town of Mineral Point, but the major part of her life was spent in this city. She was kind hearted, skilled in culinary and needle arts and to aid and do for others was a pleasure.
The funeral took place Saturday morning with services at the M.E. church, conducted by the pastor, rev. A.D. Whillett. In attendance from out of town were Wm. Coad and wife of Chicago, Mr. Henkel (brother in law) of Dubuque, Henry Beecher and wife of Warren, Bert Beecher and family and Henry Beecher of Hollandale.
