Born June 14, 1923, she was the daughter of the late John and Emma Gray Schmitt. She was the wife of Charles Wilbur Beeker, her husband of 60 years, who died in 2005. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church and a former member of the Westminster Moose. Surviving are children Mary Barbara Weyandt, of Huntingdon, Pa., Joan Anne Clurman, of Spotsylvania, Pa., Nancy M. Brockmeyer, of Manchester, Jane Frances Daw, of New Freedom, Pa., Patricia Ruth Sachs, of Sparks, Paul Gerard Beeker, of Parkville, and Jennifer Jean Nilsen, of White Hall; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson, Patrick Donovan Jr.; and sisters Margaret Pivec and Marie Zaiko. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church, 2930 Hanover Pike, Manchester, with the Rev. Michael Roach officiating. Interment will be in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church, P.O. Box 448, Manchester, MD 21102.
